Using Ultrasound to Improve Brain Organoid Nourishment

Semester: Summer 2024

Presentation description

My research project is to establish a new organoid recording protocol. This system will use ultrasound to while recording neural data in vitro. This should allow organoids to have greater access to the nutrients suspended in the media flowing through the recording dish. Additionally we will use single channel electrodes opposed to the far more expensive micro-electrode arrays. This will make recording larger sample sizes of organoids affordable.
