This research dives into understanding the stability of a new snow in the hopes of improving avalanche forecasting. Tilt boards have been used in the snow science world for many years, however there is a significant amount of variability that is prevalent in these test. Another goal of this research is to reduce variability in these tests and develop a more repeatable testing method.
