Considering the ongoing opioid crisis in the state of Utah, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a naloxone distribution program in the University of Utah Emergency Department (UUED) along with the knowledge, perception, and access patients have regarding naloxone. Patients presenting at the UUED were surveyed using convenience sampling, as well as a 30-day follow-up survey via phone.
