Presentation description
Prior to adoption, internationally adopted children often experience adverse conditions that may harm their development. Despite this, many adopted children appear to catch-up to their non-adopted peers. A possible explanation is that the amount and quality of care they receive from their adoptive parents positively affects the child's development. This study examines whether parental sensitivity will moderate the associations between social neglect and behavior problems.
