Characterization and Analysis of a High-frequency Traveling Wave Thermoacoustic Engine

Semester: Fall 2022

Presentation description

Traveling wave thermoacoustic engines use a difference in temperatures to create a sound wave, which is amplified in a resonating loop. In this project, a small, high-frequency thermoacoustic engine was built and its sound field (including frequency spectrum, linewidth, and sound power level) was analyzed.
