Presentation description
Since 2019, the Genomic Summer Research for Magnificents (GSRM) Internship Program has provided opportunities for underrepresented college students to participate in genomics-related research. This study assessed the efficacy of three metrics that the GSRM program sought to strengthen among participants: knowledge of genomics, proficiency in technical skills, and the overall sense of belonging to the scientific community. Data was analyzed via pre- and post-GSRM surveys from 2022-2024.
