Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland: A New Production of Lewis Carroll’s Work, Through the Lens of Childlike Play

Semester: Fall 2024

Presentation description

Lewis Carroll's work, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, has had countless recreations and inspired works. Through creating a new script, taken only from Carroll's text, and playworld inspired by bedtime stories and childhood imagination, the positive impact of play shines through. The goal of producing Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is to show the value of childlike play and imagination, through a simple play world. With an emphasis on sustainability, we created a set, props, and costumes using found and recycled items. The play was performed for three audiences of different age groups.
