Presentation description
This study integrates statistical shape modeling and convolutional neural networks to improve ankle osteoarthritis diagnosis using weight-bearing CT scans. By automating 3D shape modeling with DeepSSM, the research enhances diagnostic accuracy while reducing manual effort. Results show promise but require further optimization and larger datasets. This approach could enable earlier detection, lower healthcare costs, and improve patient-specific treatment planning.
