The Use of Technology to Support Diabetes Management

Project description

I am working on multiple projects examining the use of technology to support diabetes management. These technologies include social media, real-time continuous glucose monitoring, apps, and medical hacking.

Student Role: Students can be involved in planning meetings to develop and refine research methods, conduct literature searches, submit IRB, and/or collect or code data.
Student Benefits: Students who significantly contribute to the research will have an opportunity to present findings and co-author manuscripts.
Project Duration: There are various ongoing projects that can accommodate different student needs for hours, however a minimum of 5 hours a week is preferred.
Opportunity Type: Volunteer; This is a work-study research position; Prepare a UROP proposal; Write an Honors Thesis; Earn independent study credit

Minimum Requirements: Interest in diabetes and technology related research is a must. CITI training is required. Previous research experience is preferred, but will train.
