Title: Assistant Professor
College: Engineering
School / Department: School of Computing
Mentoring Philosophy:

I lead the FuTURES^3 Lab (FUture Technology for Usable, Reliable, and Efficient Security of Software and Systems) in the Kahlert School of Computing. We are an easygoing group of people that strive to help each other learn, grow, and succeed. My advising style aims to develop you into an independent researcher through gradual exposure to new challenges and problem-solving. We do research primarily on systems and software security, and our goal is to build and release software that helps real-world developers secure real-world systems. Outside of research, we compute in CTFs (competitive hacking events) as part of The Utah Student Cyber Club, and occasionally get together for group lunches and other fun events.
