Title: Associate Professor
College: Engineering
School / Department: Mechanical Engineering
Mentoring Philosophy:

My academic goal is to integrate research, education, and outreach of micro/nanoscale heat and mass transport to make transformative impacts in fundamental understanding and engineering of energy-matter interactions between micro/nanostructures, such as nanoparticles, nanowire/tubes and micro/nanofabricated devices, for various applications in energy, metrology, manufacturing, and sensing areas. My specific research interests include

  • Nanoscale energy transport and conversion processes
  • Nanostructure-based energy applications
  • Nanoscale thermophysical instrumentations
  • Tip-based nano-imaging and spectroscopy
