Utilizing Focused Ultrasound to Improve Immunotherapy for Breast Cancer in a Mouse Model

Semester: Fall 2022

Presentation description

Focused ultrasound is a unique modality that can be combined with MRI to perform non-invasive surgery via thermal ablation with high specificity. We are interested in the immune response following its application and if there are synergistic effects when used in combination with immunotherapy. We designed a set of experiments using a mouse model representative of triple-negative breast cancer. We tested the combination versus individual treatments to see if there were better outcomes.
