The Impact of Amino Acid Substitutions in the CheA Linker 3 Sequence on the Chemotactic Signal Transduction Pathway of Escherichia coli.

Semester: Fall 2024

Presentation description

My research aims to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying signal transduction in Escherichia coli, with a particular focus on the role of the CheA protein kinase and its linker region (L3) in autophosphorylation. Specifically, I am exploring how structural variations in the L3 linker sequence may influence the ability of CheA to autophosphorylate, which is essential for the continued transduction of extracellular signals in bacterial chemotaxis.
