The Effect of Quadricep Strength on Knee Biomechanics in Osteoarthritis Patients

Semester: Spring 2025

Presentation description

Osteoarthritis is one of the most prominent causes of global impairment and disability. Patients with knee osteoarthritis often experience weakened quadriceps. There is limited information on the interaction between muscle strength and joint mechanics. Our objective is to investigate the relationship between abnormal knee biomechanics and decreased quadricep strength. Understanding this relationship will enable the development of more effective treatments and improve patient outcomes.
