The Chaperone protein NCP promotes Thermomorphogenesis through Stabilization of PIF7 and Auxin Biosynthesis

Plant growth integrates environmental cues with development. In thermomorphogenesis, high temperature triggers hypocotyl elongation via auxin pathways. We identify NCP as a regulator of this process: NCP mutants show reduced elongation, impaired auxin gene expression, and fail to accumulate PIF7 protein despite normal PIF4/PIF7 transcripts. Our results suggest NCP stabilizes PIF7 to encourage auxin-dependent thermal growth responses.
