Testing of an Indoor Climbing Program to Promote Physical, Mental, and Social Well-being for College Students

Presentation description

The goal of this research project was to evaluate changes in mental, social, and physical health reported from University of Utah students in an intervention style indoor climbing program. Groups of participants climbed top-rope at Momentum Millcreek for 2 hours once a week for the length of a semester and participated in pre and post surveys and focus groups. There were statistically significant improvements in 6 measured categories of perceived wellbeing.
