SHINE: A coding-based analysis of effective skin interventions in high schools.

Semester: Spring 2025

Presentation description

Utah's melanoma rates are a rising concern in youth populations where tanning habits in early life can contribute to future skin cancer diagnoses. The SHINE study is designed to target high school students in hopes to enforce healthy sun protective behaviors earlier in life. My project will analyze interviews with the teachers that this study partnered with. This involves developing a codebook and coding the interviews to gather the teachers' impressions and thoughts of the study.
