Presentation description
Our project trains a machine learning algorithm to identify potential planetary hosts in an as-yet-unpublished catalog of stars with cold debris rings. Using known planetary hosts, we define key parameters suggesting the presence of a planet and refine the model with data from the NASA Exoplanet Archive and Gaia DR3. We include edge cases like systems with stellar companions. Once validated, the algorithm will identify likely hosts, providing a basis for future work to detect exoplanets.
