Screening Illudaic acid analogs against a panel of protein tyrosine phosphatase enzymes to identify the most potent and selective inhibitors.

Semester: Spring 2025

Presentation description

This research aims to develop selective and potent inhibitors for protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs), key enzymes involved in diseases like cancer and metabolic disorders. Previous studies have showcased the selective inhibition of illudalic acid analogs against the LAR subfamily of PTPs via a preliminary structure-activity relationship study (SAR). By screening IA analogs in inhibition assays against a panel of PTPs, we can identify the most promising compounds for targeting specific PTPs.
