Presentation description
This project investigates the lived experiences of Black dental professionals and faculty members who navigate institutional racism, microaggressions, and professional expectations within academic dentistry. Grounded in Dr. William A. Smith's theory of Racial Battle Fatigue (RBF), the research explores how systemic racial stressors, particularly in predominately white institutions (PWIs), impact the mental, emotional, and professional well-being of Black individuals in dental academia.
