Quantitative and Kinematic Characteristics of Leg Movements in Five Infants with Spinal Muscular Atrophy 0-4 Months of Age: A Case Series

Semester: Spring 2025

Presentation description

This case series aims to capture leg movement quantity and kinematic characteristics using wearable sensors over a 48-hour period in 5 infants with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and 5 infants within typical developing range aged 0-4 months. Using wearable sensors, we seek to describe the developmental trajectory of children with SMA and explore whether kinematic biomarkers can serve as indicators of therapeutic response by adding unique and complementary information to our current clinical measures.
