Presentation description

Emerging research shows that MPs are far more ubiquitous than previously known. While the ocean is generally the foremost concern in terms of research and public opinion, a significant lack of research is being done on local water sources including alpine lakes. Our research would aim to determine not only the presence but the amount of MPs within the water, sediment, and ice around Emerald lake. Our results would help to establish a baseline for microplastic concentration amongst alpine lakes.
