Presentation description
My research consists of developing novel methods for peptide cyclization. This consists of using a un-natural linker that has unique conditions to be oxidized and used for further cyclization. Peptide cyclization creates a wide range of benefits, including stability and structure rigidity, and in some cases cell membrane penetration. This work aims to expand current cyclization and bicyclization to make antimicrobial peptide (AMP) mimics.
