Investigation of ASAH2, CREBRF, and BTNL9 Variants in Metabolic Disease in the Utah Pacific Islander Diabetes Study

To test the hypothesis that known coding variants in ASAH2, CREBRF, and BTNL9 are associated with BMI in participants of the Utah Pacific Islander Diabetes Study. These 3 variants (ASAH2: rs1589352360 (p.V171L), CREBRF: rs373863828 (p.R457Q), and BTNL9: rs200884524 (p.R218*)) will be genotyped in approximately 500 participants of the Utah Pacific
Islander Diabetes Study using TaqMan SNP genotyping assays ffor each variant and the QuantStudio 5
Real-time PCR system.
