Investigating the Role of HNF4a in the Dual-Identity State of Lung Adenocarcinomas

Semester: Spring 2025

Presentation description

Preliminary research revealed that HNF4ɑ may play an important role within the dual-identity state by activating gastric-like differentiation and increasing proliferation. My project analyzed the role of HNF4ɑ in NKX2-1 positive tumor cells to further examine proliferative capacity and to test downstream targets and their impact on growth. We hypothesized that HNF4ɑ affects downstream metabolism pathways that may explain increased proliferation that is associated with higher HNF4A expression.
