Inverse Design of Non-Local SSH Double Band Dispersion

Semester: Fall 2024

Presentation description

Phononic crystals are periodic structures that can control wave propagation behavior by reacting differently to each frequency. The frequency dependence of wave propagation speed is called dispersion relation. Our research team is working on developing an inverse design method for phononic crystals. The inverse design of phononic crystal is to find a mechanism do deduce connections/stiffness of a phononic crystal when a desired dispersion curves are given. In particular, Inspired by SSH model.
