As sustainable technologies become increasingly popular. As the pressure from federal and international regulations rises, the efficiency of mining is becoming more important. One area within the industry, tailings management, is seeing research in a new, solution-based heap leach that extracts the acute amount of minerals still left in the tailing after the initial mineralization process. We go back and look to find any other inefficiencies to determine how else this technology can be improved.
