Identifying Drugs to Target Dysregulated Lipid Metabolism in Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Zebrafish

Semester: Spring 2025

Presentation description

The work done here was aimed at striving to better understand the lipid metabolic pathways involved in liver cancer. One of the most common kinds of primary liver cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is known to exhibit dysregulated lipid metabolism. It has been hypothesized that this altered pathway seen in cancer cells could be used as a therapeutic target. In this work I examined the use of new therapeutic agents.
