IDENTIFYING DIETARY CONTRIBUTORS TO THE PATHOGENESIS OF OBESITY LINKED OSTEOARTHRITIS FOLLOWING KNEE INJURY

Semester: Spring 2025

Presentation description

This study assessed the effects of these dietary interventions on the metabolic health of the mice by evaluating body weight, body composition, and diabetes progression. To determine osteoarthritis (OA) development, we analyzed joint and bone structure inflammation after inducing OA through medial meniscus destabilization. If successful, this study will identify dietary components contributing to the pathology of injury-induced OA through metabolic and mechanical pathways.
