Humans of Herriman: A Model for Youth-Driven Community Storytelling

Semester: Fall 2025

Presentation description

Humans of Herriman is a youth-led public storytelling project that seeks to reclaim Herriman's community identity through the lived experiences of its people. The project trained high school students to collect oral narratives from residents of all backgrounds and compiled these interviews into a magazine to share with the community. The project increased young people's connection with their city while strengthening the community's sense of identity and unity.
