Germline Genetic Testing and Disparities in Prostate Cancer: A Dual Analysis of Scientific Literature and Social Variables

Semester: Summer 2025

Presentation description

Prostate cancer is a leading malignancy among men, with persistent disparities in diagnosis, treatment and outcomes across racial, socioeconomic, and geographical groups. This project examines inequities in prostate cancer care and outcomes, while also evaluating the role of germline genetic testing (GGT) as a tool for identifying inherited mutations, guiding treatment decisions and improving prognosis. Both areas reflect critical gaps in achieving equitable cancer care.
