Forest Resilience in a Changing Climate: Tree-Ring and Isotopic Analysis of Aspen Growth

Semester: Spring 2025

Presentation description

My project examines the impact of climate change on aspen forests in Logan, Utah, focusing on tree growth and water use efficiency. Using tree cores, I analyze growth metrics, stable isotope compositions, and climate data to assess environmental stressors like Sudden Aspen Decline. This research, supported by the Anderegg Lab, will enhance understanding of forest resilience, inform conservation strategies, and strengthen my skills in dendrochronology and climate change research.
