Presentation description
Hydrogel materials are known for their excellent biocompatibility and thus have been investigated for use in implantable biomedical devices such as neural implants or drug delivery patches. In this work, a fabrication procedure for hydrogel microneedle arrays based on methacrylated Gelatine is shown. Such hydrogel microneedle arrays could potentially be used in biohybrid implants and are therefore being tested for their tissue penetration capabilities and mechanical properties.
