Fabrication and Investigation of Hydrogel Micro-Needles for Biohybrid Implants

Semester: Spring 2025

Presentation description

Utah Electrode Arrays have been available for a long time and have functioned extensively. One issue with Utah Electrode Arrays is how they create Foreign Body Responses, as their biocompatibility is not ideal. Alternatives to these Utah Electrode Arrays were developed using Hydrogel as it is a more biocompatible material and is a promising method to be implanted into the head, creating less of a Foreign Body Response.
