Examining the influence of trauma exposure on obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms and self-stigma

Semester: Spring 2025

Presentation description

This study examines the association between trauma exposure, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) symptoms, and self-stigma in seeking help. A sample of 137 participants was categorized into three groups: no trauma exposure, trauma exposure, and probable PTSD. The study investigates differences in OCD symptom severity and self-stigma across these groups and explores whether OCD symptoms moderate the relationship between trauma exposure and self-stigma.
