Establishing a Baseline of the Mammalian Parasite Assemblage of Goblin Valley State Park

Semester: Spring 2025

Presentation description

In April 2024, the Vertebrate Zoology department of the Natural History Museum of Utah completed a biotic survey of Goblin Valley State Park in Southeastern Utah. This novel survey of the park resulted in the collection of 352 mammal specimens and 361 associated parasite lots. This project aims to identify and analyze the host-parasite relationships within the park and establish a baseline of the mammalian parasitic assemblage of Goblin Valley State Park.
