Ecomorphology of Small Mammals remains as a Predictor of Climate Change across the Holocene

Semester: Spring 2025

Presentation description

Bones have been classified and measured of small mammals from an alpine cave in Cache County, UT. The size of each sample's crania was measured from these historic samples, as well as from modern museum samples. The size change of these mammals should correlate to a warmer climate, as under the Bergman's rule hypothesis, animals should shrink evolutionarily when exposed to warmer temperatures.
