Presentation description
DIBs are interstellar molecular absorption features caused by the interstellar medium (ISM) and appear in the spectra of background stars. We measure the strength of these features using equivalent width (EW), which linearly correlates with the density of the foreground ISM (i.e., $A_V$). However, properties of the ISM environment scatter this correlation. Using APOGEE data, I aimed to constrain the strength and correlation of DIB features with various ISM properties. Through this work, I strive to establish a meaningful connection between measurable quantities like DIB EW to infer the makeup and structure of ISM molecular clouds.
