Presentation description
The residential camps of the River and Savanna Pumé are expected to differ socially based on their methods of subsistence. Factors such as camp size and relatedness are anticipated to vary between the horticulturalist River Pumé and the hunter-gatherer Savanna Pumé. Censuses and genealogical data collected during the 1980s and 1990s will be used to analyze how the camp composition of these two subgroups of the Pumé differs according to their divergent subsistence strategies.
