Presentation description

Compiling a dataset of 250 pilgrim badges from Aachen, Germany, this project catalogs date, discovery location, size, cast type, shape, mirror, and iconography, using Tableau to visualize individualized patterns of worship. Findings reveal that Aachen badges developed to function as portals, allowing pilgrims to transcend the constraints of space and time, sustaining communion with the divine long after pilgrims have returned home.
