Presentation description

This study aims to make health education more accessible for deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) individuals through the creation of an ASL glossary of cardiometabolic/cardiovascular (CV) terms. One of the major health disparities that exist within the DHH population is limited access to educational resources in prevention and self-management of diseases, and terms that do not have corresponding ASL signs which leads to gaps in health literacy.
