Cultivating Empathy in the Age of AI: Technical Editing Pedagogy and the Ethics of Care

As GAI (generative artificial intelligence) tools are becoming a larger part in technical editing, incorporating care ethics is essential to creating inclusive and accessible materials. This research project, conducted by four undergraduate students and faculty member, asks student-editors and student-authors their experience with AI. This research project is based on the Spring of 2024 TE (Technical Editing) course, and students' experience with GAI tools.
