There is little information about the mechanisms and kinetics of silver nanoparticle nucleation and growth on mesoporous silica nanoparticles. Understanding the mechanism and kinetics of this reaction will allow other researchers to control AgNP sizes and distributions, allowing for more efficient and easily designed silica supported Nanoparticles. This research has focused on studying the kinetics of the reaction under different reaction conditions using instuments like TEM, UVVis, and STEM.
