Carotid Artery Blood Flow Patterns in Embolic Stroke of Undetermined Source

Semester: Fall 2024

Presentation description

Our research utilized patient-specific computational fluid dynamics to analyze embolic strokes of undetermined source in a cross-sectional study. We analyze wall shear stress, topological shear variation index, and much more. These parameters are then used to identify patterns such that we can develop an interpretable binary classification tree that will be utilized to identify where stroke is occurring.
