Associations between parents’ emotion regulation, anxiety, and stress and their real-time emotion socialization efforts: A cross-sectional analysis

Semester: Spring 2025

Presentation description

Parents' emotion socialization efforts influence children's social and emotional competencies, with their effectiveness depending on factors such as parental stress levels and regulation abilities. The current study examines whether parents' self-reported anxiety, stress, and emotion regulation are associated with emotion socialization efforts with their children at home. A series of regressions are conducted to analyze these associations.
