Presentation description
Research suggests summer camps can be a place where youth can experience safe, supportive, interactive, and engaging environments. However, research is limited on how summer camp experiences can impact youth flourishing, especially for youth from low-income backgrounds. We examined the roles of program quality markers in changes in flourishing. We found that when youth perceive camp experiences as high quality, they also experience greater changes in flourishing from pre- to post-camp.
