My research utilized packrat middens as proxy data for paleoclimates. This involved dissolving middens, removing macrofossils, and identifying macrofossils. The data was then recorded and ranked in prominence on a scale of one to three. This data, once the middens are radiocarbon dated, will aid other studies seeking to understand the migration of the Fremont peoples through Range Creek Canyon and the potential climatic forcings that influence them.
