Pressure ulcers are a common and harmful ailment among wheelchair users that can be mitigated and prevented via regular pressure relief actions. Various personal and environmental reasons can cause pressure reliefs to not be performed correctly or regularly enough to be effective. The research team aims to develop a mobile health intervention system that gathers pressure data from the user and then determines and delivers helpful health interventions, thus helping to prevent pressure ulcers.
