Faculty mentor: Claudia Geist

This project looks into how various racial/ethnic groups are impacted by social and economic factors when trying to access effective contraceptive methods. An analysis of data from the HER Salt Lake initiative was conducted. That was done through the creation of the barrier system- a system built by a vast literature analysis to see how social and economic factors could limit accessibility to effective contraception. A large presence of economic barriers was found for all groups.
