Faculty mentor: Micah Drummons

As individuals age, their risk experiencing extended periods of inactivity increases due to their higher likelihood of falls, injuries, and hospitalization. Older adults ( age 65+) also have more trouble recovering after these periods of disuse. This research seeks to explore the effects of a Metformin-Leucine duel therapy on aged mice who have undergone modeled inactivity. It is our hope that this treatment can provide insight into better recovery options for aging adults.
