In order to more accurately measure ambient air temperature, I created an aspirated housing unit. This housing unit has a fan that pulls outside air over the sensor to better collect accurate data. Through six tests at different elevation angles, I found that my new aspirated housing unit does indeed perform better than the traditional radiation shield; the average improvement was by 0.3 degrees Celsius.
